Soldiers from the 21st brigade loyal to General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar stormed the old market in Ataq today and detained Salim Ali Hussein Shaqee 'ibn' Idan and Saleh Awad Muhammad Lukur ibn 'Idan.
The province of Shabwa and its capital Ataq have seen a campaign of arbitrary detentions and raids on homes of pro South Yemen independence activists and Shabwani Elite soldiers. These raids and kidnappings are perpetrated by the Yemeni National Army which took control of Shabwah the last week of August.
